I am an explorer. I use words, music and imagery to examine my personal experiences. Sometimes those experiences change based on physical, mental, social, economic and political pressures. As explorers often do, I build maps. I place markers on those maps through song, imagery, narrative and metaphor. Others may take the same journey and find some comfort in knowing that someone else has been there.

 

I am inspired by concept and music by performers like Pink Floyd, the Beatles and Collective Soul. Sequential artists like Will Eisner and Scott McCloud have influenced my direction. Storytelling builds my conceptual thinking through writers such as Frank Herbert, J.R.R. Tolkien and Verner Vinge.

 

Other interests that I engage with daily include psychology, history, science and the social, economic and political landscapes. How these have affected my life becomes a catalyst for my expression. I place my concerns about the forces daily around me and their impact on my life into a framework of conceptual ideas and share them through audio, written and visual work.

 

As with any journey, one builds an experience. It is my hope that those who choose to travel along these paths with me find an understanding or perspective that will provide positive directions in their own explorations
